YES! (Um, how fast did they swing?????
Rest in peace Dessie , legend
❤!
Class ever Dessie this will stand time ever thank you
Great playing.
Oustanding lol!
Ha ha foulish
Have to feel for that guy who kept slipping - must have been the shoes. How he managed to stay on his feet, I don't know.
Wow! You make it look so effortless! Great playing!
I'm Irish and looking at what looks like Middle Eastern Men (but they are Irish) dancing where women aren't allowed. It should be very popular with gay men for a good contact dance. Love it!!!Thanks!!
Johnny is some man to play that box, there brilliant all of them !!
better late then never..1st--newly mown meadow, 2nd--maid behind the barrel
Love love this band!
class
this is one of my favourite clips of set dancing, every time I look at it I cant help laughing. Ye are the best... Id love to have seen the next fig (and I have searched for it)
Ye are not smart. Ye are boring.
@IrishDrifting 1st is Trip to Manila 2nd is McArthur Road 3rd is Tamlin Michael Sexton's playing is fantastic
Ooooh Martina !
@markoconroy
Jalbutt, it's 'The New Mown Meadow'...a great tune, and a favourite of Sean Nos dancers from what I've heard.
joy, the music expresses pure joy. amazing
Seem like a grate bunch of lads. At first I thought they were only messing about, but i can see they can really dance. makes a change I suppose from all the women dancing to each other. UP KERRY. : )
Espero poder bailar así algún día, felicitaciones a los bailarines !!!
amazing player
class, trad music s brill n ceili's r a brill laugh
michael knows how to make that accordion talk and what a really nice guy he is. He plays the hazel hotel on a regular basis keep a watch out for him hes just amazing
John Kelly doe you play in ENNIS I would like to hear
Go on Tom...!de second tune is pinch of snuff..!
serious shortage of women? well danced & nice to watch
It's a scottish tune tha Michael Sexton brought from one of his trips. Mickael Sexton first used it for set dancing in the Mickael Sexton Céilí Band, in the 90 (?) (In the Clare or the caledonian set I think)
"The New Mown Meadow"
love the step of the man opp tops...real sean nos
If that's him drunk I wish I could play the fiddle as well when I'm sober :-) The sound if system but the song is a "belter" and Dessie belts it out good style . :-)
Who plays the first song?
dessie is a livin legend!!! his voice is priceless.... and fair play to any man that spent 20 years in england and still kept that accent
"Dessie Rocks"? Jeez! It's bloody surprising they weren't throwing them at him ... rocks, that is. Nevertheless, I think he's terrific! As someone once said : "He's so bad, he's good!" Greetings to one and all from Jarrahnut in wonderful Western Australia. Good on ya, Dessie!
Awesome. Dessie Rocks. The best singer in the world, all joking aside.
It's know as "Tam Lin," "The Glasgow Reel," and "The Howling Wind." It's also know by musicians as, "that damn tune all the set dancers like."
any one know wat the last tune is
I'd love to dance with any of them anytime!!
It's also called the Howling Wind. It's also sometimes refered to as "that damn tune all the dancers like."
Jaysus, he's some powerful singer altogether. Fair play. Fair play.
That was as fun to watch as it must have been to dance!
ceili agus craic gach oiche go maidin!
Des O'Halloran is class i saw him at Mary From Dungloe Festival, ps the backin band would get it
Hey, I'M a good male Irish set dancer! Bring me to your town to teach a workshop or something. :)
